Academic Pursuits
Mungunzaya Enkhtuya (a.k.a. Endy) is a dedicated student at BYU–Hawaii, double majoring in computer science and visual arts with minors in mathematics and entrepreneurship. Driven by a fascination for the intersection of logical problem-solving and creative craftsmanship, she focuses her studies on the development of innovative computer software. By blending technical rigor with a designer’s eye, Mungunzaya aspires to contribute her skills to the software industry, specifically within the world of animation studios.
Foundational Leadership
Growing up as the eldest daughter, Mungunzaya has always strived to be a steady example and a dedicated supporter of her family. This early sense of responsibility transitioned into her professional life at age 17, when she began a full-time career as an editorial print designer. Despite her youth, her discipline and eye for detail earned her high respect among her colleagues, establishing her as a deeply trusted and reliable member of the team. This responsibility later grew as she took on an additional role as a media translator for the Church, further refining her ability to manage complex projects with precision.
Commitment to Service
Mungunzaya served an 18-month full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Illinois Chicago Mission. This was a pivotal season where she deepened her devotion to the Savior and shared the gospel with both love and creativity. Upon returning home to Mongolia, she served in numerous capacities, including as a seminary teacher, young women advisor, and choir director. Notably, as a mission preparation institute teacher, she helped prepare several students who are now serving their own full-time missions across the globe—a testament to her dedication to mentoring the next generation.
Personal Interests
Beyond her professional and academic pursuits, Mungunzaya is a skilled musician whose primary instrument is the morin khuur (the traditional Mongolian horse-head fiddle). Playing this instrument is a way for her to honor her cultural heritage, a connection she carries with much gratitude and respect. Whether through music or design, she finds joy in preserving beauty and tradition while sharing her culture with the world.
