Sery Kone: A Future Worth Fighting For
Sery Kone graduated from Brigham Young University–Hawaii in June 2015 with a degree in business management. Born and raised in Côte d'Ivoire, he survived child labor on the country's cacao farms and left a corporate career to build Well Africa, a nonprofit organization providing schools and clinics across West Africa. Now a loving husband and father, Kone’s story is one of faith, perseverance, and giving back through education.

Carving Your Own Way
Sam Mangakahia earned a degree in Graphic Design from BYU–Hawaii in 2021. Today, he and his wife, Chalei, are the founders of Shaka Tribe, a cultural art brand, alongside his personal art brand, Hamiora Art, both inspired by his Māori heritage. Mangakahia’s work lights up stages, sells worldwide, and counts Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson among his collaborators. His journey is guided by culture, craft, and the power of knowing who you are.

Cherry Zhang
Cherry Zhang is a Brigham Young University–Hawaii alumna originally from Shenzhen, China, now residing in Hong Kong, China. She graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Today, with a Master's in Digital Management and an IBM internship, she's bringing her curiosity, and love of connecting with people into her career as a Technology Transformation Consultant.

Tekarohi grew up on the island of Tahiti and in 2019 was accepted to BYU–Hawaii, where she studied Hospitality and Tourism Management. Today, she's the CEO of Tahiti Expert Events, French Polynesia's leading event agency. For over a decade, the agency has partnered with local institutions and businesses on development and communication strategies, working with international names like Warner Bros. Pictures, FIFA, and the World Health Organization, as well as top Polynesian resorts like the Four Seasons Bora Bora. Tekarohi has turned her island roots into a career connecting Polynesia with the world.
