Lizzy Fellars

Lizzy is a senior at Brigham Young University–Hawaii majoring in Graphic Design with minors in Psychology and Business: Organizational Leadership. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2027. From a young age, Lizzy has always enjoyed the creative side of learning, especially hands-on projects such as painting, ceramics, digital art, photography, and film. Her education has given her the opportunity to explore the many directions a career in graphic design can take while continuing to discover the areas she enjoys most. She hopes to one day work with a surf or lifestyle brand, combining her interests in graphic design and video editing to create engaging visual experiences.

Lizzy gained her first professional graphic design experience through an internship at Kualoa Ranch, where she helped create a style guide for Kualoa Grown and developed design examples from the guide. This experience taught her how to communicate with different teams, receive feedback, and work independently. She also interned with a race car company during high school, where she learned product photography and photo editing. These experiences have helped Lizzy discover the many opportunities within graphic design and encouraged her to continue learning and exploring.

Growing up in her hometown, Lizzy was one of very few members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints among her peers. She served as a Young Women president for several years, striving to be an example to those younger than her. She also participated in a humanitarian aid trip to Panama, where she helped teach English to children and build a dental clinic. Through these experiences, she developed stronger leadership and communication skills while learning the importance of service, integrity, hard work, and reliability.

Originally from San Diego, California, Lizzy came to BYU–Hawaii in Fall 2024. Since then, she has enjoyed meeting people from diverse backgrounds and learning from their experiences. Her faith has taught her to follow Christ through serving others, being there for those in need, and showing kindness to everyone. Outside of school, Lizzy enjoys going to the beach, spending time in nature and with friends, photography, tennis, painting, crafts, and creating experiences to look back on.
