Early Life and Education

George Kenneth Lee was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, and grew up in Angeles City, Pampanga, where he completed his elementary and high school education. As a young teenager, he migrated to the United States with his family. He later attended Brigham Young University–Hawaii, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in December 1999. In 2005, he completed a Master of Science in accounting from Weber State University in Utah.

Professional Career in Finance and Administration

George began his career in the United States, serving in roles such as accountant, budget administrator, financial analyst, tax accountant, and accounting manager. He later returned to the Philippines to work at the Area Office of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There, he served as an accountant, humanitarian manager, education support manager, and humanitarian and emergency response manager in the Welfare and Self-Reliance Department. His work focused on strengthening communities across the Philippines through humanitarian and self-reliance initiatives.

Global Operations Leadership

Currently, George serves as the plant manager of Beehive Clothing Philippines, overseeing operations that provide sacred temple garments to 36 countries worldwide. His leadership supports global distribution efforts that serve members of the Church around the world.

Church Leadership and Service

Elder Lee is presently serving as an Area Seventy in the 8th Quorum of the Seventy in the Philippines Area. Throughout his years of service, he has served as a full-time missionary, counselor in the presidency of the Philippines Davao Mission, President of the Philippines Naga Mission, and as an Area Seventy. His ministry has focused on strengthening faith, leadership development, and humanitarian outreach.

BYU and Alumni Engagement

George has maintained strong ties with the BYU community. He served for three years as president of the BYU Management Society Philippines Chapter and has been a board member and strategic development vice president of the BYU Management Society. He also previously served as sub-chapter president of the BYU–Hawaii Alumni Philippines Chapter and currently serves on the BYU–Hawaii Alumni Executive Board, overseeing alumni engagement in the Philippines.

Family and Personal Life

George married Angelica Donato Amistad, a fellow BYU–Hawaii alumna whom he met during their college years. They were sealed in the Laie Hawaii Temple and are the parents of three children and grandparents to three grandchildren. The family resides in Pasig, Manila. In his personal time, George enjoys gardening and hopes to one day cultivate his own small farm.
