Clabelle is a double major at BYU–Hawaii studying Business Management with a focus in Human Resources and Organizational Leadership, as well as Music, with a minor in Psychology. Her experiences in leadership, operations, training, and student organizations have strengthened her passion for helping people feel supported, connected, and empowered to grow. As the Student Alumni Relations Representative, she hopes to build meaningful connections between students and alumni and create opportunities for mentorship, professional development, service, and lifelong relationships.
Connecting Across Cultures
Having lived and worked with people from different cultures and backgrounds, Clabelle has learned the importance of listening, understanding, and finding common ground. Her experiences in Taiwan and Hawaii, along with her work with diverse groups, have shaped her appreciation for cross-cultural communication and meaningful relationships. She believes that people can learn from one another when they take the time to understand each other and create spaces where everyone feels welcomed.
A Heart for Service
Clabelle’s experiences in service, leadership, and training have shaped her approach to working with others. During her time as a full-time representative in Taiwan, she connected with individuals from different backgrounds and helped lead leadership training. She has also served in campus leadership and supported students and employees through training, administration, and operations. These experiences have taught her to lead with empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
Bringing People Together
With her background in human resources, organizational leadership, psychology, music, and community service, Clabelle hopes to be a connector between people and opportunities. She believes that alumni relationships can create opportunities for mentorship, career growth, service, and meaningful friendships. She is excited to serve students and alumni, learn from their experiences, and help strengthen a community where everyone feels valued, welcomed, and connected.
