Academics and Career Pursuits
Christina is expected to graduate at BYU–Hawaii in 2029 double majoring in Biology and Pacific Island Studies. From a young age, her passion with science and the human body has grown. With these interests and education, Christina’s desire is to contribute to health equity around the Pacific Islands as well with social sustainability.
Professional Experience
Christina is a team player and loves working alongside with others to achieve shared goals. As she worked at Costco Wholesale, she was able to develop strong customer service skills, operating specialized machines, trained new employees and thrived in a fast-paced workplace. She was also able to demonstrate adaptivity as she supported other departments according to the company’s needs. She also worked at the Polynesian Culture Center as a dancer. Christina had the opportunity to talk to different guest around the world and create meaningful connections. This experience taught her how to confidently manage and perform in high -volume, busy environments.
Core Values
Respect has been a principle in her life since she was young. Christina values treating others with kindness, consideration, and fairness in any given situation. Her faith as being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has helped her with decisions, commitment in opportunities as a leader and to service, and strengthen her character. She shows a driven mindset and believes the importance of hard work. She also believes that being able to exemplify honesty and accountability is a high-quality trait. These core values guide her personally, educationally, and professionally.
Personal Interest
Christina Voigt has lived across the United States. She was born in California, resided in Texas throughout elementary, spent her intermediate in Utah and settled in Laie, Hawaii for high school and college. She is a proud alumnus of Kahuku High School class of 23. Living in diverse communities, Christina has been able to deepen her love of Polynesian dancing. This allows her to celebrate traditional dances and a way to connect with her culture and share her identity with others. She also enjoys playing volleyball and following the NFL and college basketball.
