About Benoy Tamang
Benoy Tamang came to BYU–Hawaii from Nepal in 1983, where he met his wife, Angela, during the fall semester. They both graduated in 1986 with degrees in computer information systems and were married in the Laie Hawaii Temple five days after graduation. In December 2028, they will celebrate 40 years of marriage, in addition to the three years they dated.
After graduating from BYU–Hawaii, Tamang earned his MBA from BYU in Provo and began his career in business in 1989. He has worked with Pacific Bell, now AT&T, WordPerfect and seven startup companies, four of which he founded.
Today, Tamang and his wife have five children and seven grandchildren. They are grateful for the life they have built together and credit their experience at BYU–Hawaii, where they found faith and each other, as an important part of their journey.
