Manhattan Elisabeth Ethington Prien is a BYU–Hawaii alumna from Toledo, Ohio. She graduated in the class of 2024.

Why did you choose to come to BYUH?

“I chose to come here because my parents met and graduated from here, and I really wanted to experience diversity and learn more about people around the world.”

What does the mission of CCH/BYUH mean to you?

“It is important to me to become a disciple of Christ and be empathetic to people from all sorts of different backgrounds.”

How has CCH/BYUH blessed your life?

“I have loved learning how to be accepting and understanding of others and really value diversity. I also met my husband here and got married, just like my parents did!”
