Kaela's academic journey is marked by her completion of Pathway Connect in 2021, where she earned a certificate that laid a strong foundation for her higher education pursuits. Her drive and leadership skills were exemplified during her tenure as the Secretary of the Micronesia Club Presidency from 2022 to 2023, where she played a pivotal role in organizing events and fostering a sense of community among members.

Music has always been a central part of Kaela's life. She has been an integral member of the advanced Hoʻolōkahi Chamber Choir at BYUH since Fall 2022, where her vocal talent and dedication have shone brightly. Kaela is Chuukese and was born and raised on the island of Guam. Growing up as the oldest and only girl among boys, she developed a unique blend of resilience, compassion, and leadership. These qualities have not only defined her personal life but have also significantly influenced her approach to teaching and mentorship. Her upbringing has instilled in her a strong sense of responsibility and a nurturing spirit, which she brings into every classroom and interaction.
