Alumni from Guam serviing out of their way
Seven employees from the Micronesia Guam Service Center, the local LDS Church Temporal Affairs office in Guam, travelled approximately 1714 miles (2758 km) by plane, train, and bus to assist in clean-up efforts in Japan.

Alumni Spotlight: Charles Tuigamala
One of the purposes of Brigham Young University–Hawaii is for graduates to return to their homeland and serve and lead their people based off of what they experienced while attending the university. Charles Tuigamala [International Business Management ‘04] and his wife Shirley [Hospitality and Tourism Management ‘05] represent a perfect fulfillment of that purpose in Papua New Guinea.
