The Alumni Awards recognize outstanding BYU–Hawaii alumni who are fulfilling President David O. McKay's prophecy to "influence for good", "establish peace internationally" and serve as "genuine gold "leaders who cannot be "bought or sold". Alumni awards are given to those who have provided outstanding leadership to their families, communities, professions, or the Church. Click here to nominate someone for an award.

Heber J. Grant Building  
Installation of the organ and carpet have been completed. Interior touch-up work, installation of the communications systems, topsoil placement and landscaping are ongoing.

Enactus Team Earns Second   
BYU–Hawaii’s Enactus team traveled to Kansas City, Missouri, to compete in the 2013 Enactus National Exposition and was awarded second place.
Laie Chevron Closed    
The Laie Chevron closed to make way for a new Marriott-branded hotel. Construction of the new hotel, is set to begin next year.
Alumna Mrs. Illinois United States    
Jessica Tevage ['06 ICS-Communications&Culture] was recently crowned Mrs. Illinois and will compete to be Mrs. USA july 27-31, 2013.
Hong Kong Alumni Serve
Over 150 volunteers help put together a charity fundraising concert for the underprivileged children in Hong Kong and China.
Students Visit with Alumni in D.C.  
“It was a phenomenal event and there was such an outpouring love from the alumni to our students with one to one interactions which was truly the highlight of our trip,” says Professor Kajiyama.

New iPad App Developed by Alum   
Kyle Mauldin ['02, Information Systems] developed an app called Semblee. This free app allows you to read the news, shop and browse the web in a single place.
Alum Takes Bronze Medal 
Scott Garcia ['02, Political Science] wins the bronze medal for team USA at the Pan American Sambo Wrestling Chapmionship.  
Award Winning Food Services   
BYU–Hawaii Food Services won the Loyal E. Horton Gold Award for the fourth time, outperforming some of the top educational institutions in the nation.
Over 100 Alumni Attend Japan Event 
A tremendous group of over 120 Alumni, family and friends gathered in Tokyo for the first ever aloha event in Japan.
