Early Achievements

Susie Berardy graduated from Brigham Young University–Hawaii in 1985 with a degree in travel management. Her academic journey helped cultivate the leadership and entrepreneurial skills that would define her successful career.

Missionary Service

In 1980–1981, Susie served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Ventura, California Mission. Her time in the mission field allowed her to develop her passion for service and community involvement, which has continued to guide her throughout her life.

Professional Leadership and Achievements

With over 30 years of experience in Hawaii’s business landscape, Susie has emerged as a prominent leader in the entrepreneurial community. She currently serves as the president of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and the head of DBI Hawaii Inc., a wholesale and distribution importer. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership in fostering business growth and promoting community development. Her achievements include receiving the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2001, the Filipino Businesswoman Association of Hawaii Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2006, and the United Filipino Council of Hawaii Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2019. Susie was also honored as a Distinguished Alumni of BYU–Hawaii in 2001, 2003, and 2006, and served as the keynote speaker at the Alumni Graduation Banquet in 2006.

Community Involvement

Susie has dedicated herself to various community roles, including serving as a commissioner on the Honolulu Zoning Board of Appeals from 2012 to 2014 and holding leadership positions within multiple organizations. She is an active member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Alumni Association of BYUH, the second vice president of the Oahu Filipino Community Council, and the Board of Directors of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce and the Filipino Businesswomen Association.

Church Leadership

In addition to her professional and community work, Susie has been an active leader in her faith. She has served as the Young Women's First Counselor in the Honolulu Stake, where she has had a positive impact on the lives of young women in her community.

Family and Personal Life

Susie is a proud mother of three children and a grandmother of five. Her family plays a central role in her life, and she is deeply committed to balancing her entrepreneurial endeavors with her responsibilities as a mother and grandmother.
