Early Achievements
Bill graduated from the prestigious Kamehameha Schools in 1974. His academic excellence and leadership qualities were recognized when he became the inaugural recipient of the Glenn and Anna Kukahiko Award at BYU–Hawaii, then known as the Church College of Hawaii.
Missionary Service
Following his studies at BYU–Hawaii, Bill embarked on a mission to the Japan Nagoya Mission from 1976 to 1978. During his missionary service, he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ and serving the people of Japan.
Academic Pursuits
Upon returning to BYU–Hawaii in 1978, Bill continued his educational journey and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1981. His commitment to learning and personal growth has been evident throughout his life.
Love and Family
In 1978, Bill's life took a beautiful turn when he met Wanda Kay Nalani Yuen at BYU–Hawaii. Their love blossomed, leading to their marriage in the sacred halls of the Laie Temple in 1979. Together, they have been blessed with four sons, forming a strong and loving family unit.
Church Leadership Roles
Relocating to Guam in 1986 for employment. In 1999 an opportunity to work for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Micronesia Guam Service Center opened. He was first hired as the Finance Supervisor, but eventually became the leader and member support coordinator as well as the welfare and self-reliance manager. Bill has held various leadership positions, including branch president, district president, young men president, bishop, and counselor in the Yigo Guam Temple presidency. His leadership roles, ranging from local congregational leadership to serving in the temple presidency, highlight his deep commitment to his faith and his desire to uplift and support others on their spiritual journey.
Area Seventy and Other Church Assignments From 2018 to 2023, Bill served as an Area Seventy for the Asia North Area, a testament to his spiritual maturity and leadership abilities. Prior to this calling, he served diligently as a Finance Supervisor, Leader and Member Support Coordinator, and Welfare and Self-Reliance Manager in Micronesia, where he played a pivotal role in managing financial matters and supporting local leaders and members.
