Devoted family man, information management professional, and dedicated alumni leader

A life shaped by faith, family, and a commitment to service, Benjamin has woven a rich tapestry of experiences that reflect his deep-rooted values and passion for making a meaningful impact.

Academic Journey

In June 1989, Ben proudly graduated with a bachelor's degree in business information management and an associate's degree in accounting. His educational pursuits laid the foundation for a career that seamlessly blends the realms of information management and accounting. The quest for knowledge led him to achieve a master's degree in project management from City University of Seattle in 2003.

Family and Faith

In August 1989, Ben embarked on a new chapter of life by marrying Cathryn Hosack. Together, they are blessed with four children – a daughter and three sons – and currently revel in the joy of eight grandchildren. His desire for a family rooted in strong faith and devotion to Jesus Christ has been a guiding principle since his youth. Ben found spiritual fulfillment when he joined the Church in 1981 and served a mission in the Philippines before continuing his education at BYU–Hawaii.

Professional Journey

Ben has left an indelible mark in the professional landscape, contributing his expertise to renowned companies. Over 10 years at Microsoft, 15 years at Boeing Aerospace Company, and currently, in his third year at Paccar as a supplier management analyst, Ben has seamlessly applied his education in information management and accounting.

Alumni Leadership

Moving to Washington state sparked Ben's desire to share the spirit of aloha he felt during his time at BYU–Hawaii. In 1998, he founded an alumni chapter in Washington, serving as its dedicated leader for 25 years. Recently stepping down as chapter president, he was elected by the board to become the association president, a testament to his enduring love for BYU–Hawaii and his commitment to serve the university, the alumni, and the Lord.

Benjamin's journey is an inspiring testament to the synergy of education, faith, and service, leaving an indelible mark on both his professional endeavors and the BYU–Hawaii community.
