Flag Ceremony

 

The Annual Flag Raising Ceremony - 2014
Students of BYU-Hawaii carried on the 93-year-old tradition of raising their countries’ flags in the little circle on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Even when it started raining, students participated in the commemoration by coming together and celebrating unity through diversity.

Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Makes Home at PCC
A press conference was held at the Polynesian Cultural Center to announce that the Hall of Fame would be held at the PCC and open to the public early next year.

New Hotel Moving, Triggering McDonalds Relocation

We will soon see some changes in the Laie neighborhood to make way for the new Laie hotel. McDonald’s of Hawaii just announced that its longtime Laie restaurant will close February 10th.
   

Polynesian Hall of Fame

The Professional Mentorship Program   
The Mentorship Program is an 8-week program that connects students with professionals. The students are matched with mentors by home region and their field of interest.

Matthew Cowley Society   
The Matthew Cowley Society honors anyone who has included the university in their estate plans including university personnel. Members receive periodic correspondence and invitation to a special luncheon. There is no min nor is there any cost associated. Documentation is helpful but not required.

 BYU-Hawaii alumnus Chun Wan Jeffrey is contributing to society by working with a very important medical question.
