Cody Bywater is a BYU–Hawaii alumnus from Elwood, Utah. He graduated from the Class of 2023.
What were some activities/clubs/jobs that you were involved with?
“PCC super Ambassador Tour Guide, BYUH Maintenance worker, clubs; Aotearoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Finance, Economics.”
Why did you choose to come to BYUH?
“I served my mission in New Zealand and fell in love with the pacific people and culture. I eventually want to have a business that is centered in the pacific.”
How has BYUH blessed your life?
“In every way I can imagine. The only thing it hasn’t bless me is with an eternal companion but I’m still hoping on this one to come from here.”
What does the mission of BYUH mean to you?
“That God’s plan will go forth and nothing can stop it. I have seen the genuine gold students that have came from here. I would even argue that the people who have came here and finish here and some of the most Christlike people from all of the other church institutions.”
Where are you working and what is your job title?
“Right now I’m a substitute teacher until fall so I can become a seminary teacher then I will get my master.”
